Sweaty Betties' Weekly Women's Jiu-jitsu Class

Do you like to roll around on the floor, learn what your body can do...and sweat a lot...with a bunch of lovely ladies...in a gi? Then Sweaty Betties Jiu-Jitsu is the place for you.  Founded in 2008 by women for women, our group fosters a positive, supportive, safe, and fun training environment in which to learn and practice the gentle art, also known as Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Whether you are a beginning Jiu-jitsu student with no to little experience or an experienced competitor, Sweaty Betties will provide you with a great place to build, hone, and test your skills. Our members range greatly in terms of experience and age. We offer weekly donation based training at FOUR Elements Fitness gym in Oakland. Our class sessions include warm-up, technical drills and open sparring. Details below:

Due to Covid-19 shelter in place, we are canceling our in-person classes and shifting online until further notice. 

Our Zoom classes are a mixture of Ginastica Natural, Jiu-jitsu and kickboxing movements. To join the class, email sweatybetties@gmail.com for more info.
