Women's Self Defense Workshop
Preparation is the best form of self-defense! Our 8-week workshop series will help you build a self-defense toolbox to help you prevent, escape and survive assaults. Learn how to increase awareness of yourself and your surroundings, apply physical techniques and develop safety strategies. We'll meet weekly on Mondays, August 7-October 25 at the Emeryville Community Services Development in Emeryville.
Each class starts with a series of warm-up exercises followed by instruction in a specific set of skills and techniques practiced with a partner. The class ends with partner drills to build confidence and strengthen muscle memory.
